The Reserve Bank of India has fixed the interest rate for the Government of India Floating Rate Bond (FRB) 2028 at 6.45% per annum for the period October 4, 2026, to April 3, 2027. This rate is not fixed for the bond's entire life, as it can change every six months. The coupon is determined by the average yield of 182-day Treasury Bills plus a fixed spread of 0.64 percentage points. Investors should note that a higher T-Bill yield generally leads to a higher return on this bond.
