Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu is set to make landfall near Ongole in Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district before 3 a.m. The outer spiral band has already reached southern Coastal Andhra Pradesh, with the wall cloud region approaching the coastline. Extremely heavy rainfall is anticipated in parts of Ongole Rural, Kothapatnam, and Chinaganjam mandals. Gale-force winds of 70-90 kmph, gusting to 100 kmph, are being reported along the coast. The cyclone is moving northwest at 10 kmph.
