The Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra faces internal conflict over Legislative Council election seats. The BJP announced candidates for three seats, but the Shiv Sena's Shinde faction also decided to contest the Pune Teachers' constituency, potentially leading to a direct clash. The BJP has fielded Dr. Smita Jadhav for the Pune Graduates' seat and Sudhakar Kohale for Nagpur Graduates', while the Amravati Teachers' seat is allocated to the Shinde faction and Aurangabad Graduates' to the Ajit Pawar faction. This seat-sharing has created a challenge for the alliance, particularly in Pune.
