Garbage Piles Up On Road After Mangaluru Civic Body Cleans Drain

A drainage cleaning drive by the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) in Kodialbail has resulted in significant garbage accumulation along the roadside. Extracted silt and waste were left unattended for about a week, turning parts of the street into informal dumping spots. This has encouraged passersby and students to discard additional waste, creating an eyesore and inconvenience. Despite fines for littering, the problem persists due to the unaddressed debris. The MCC has assured residents that the accumulated waste will be cleared promptly.

मंगलुरु सिटी कॉर्पोरेशन (MCC) ने कोडियालbail में नाली की सफाई का अभियान चलाया, लेकिन इसके कारण सड़क के किनारे काफी कूड़ा जमा हो गया है। निकाली गई गाद और कचरे को लगभग एक हफ्ते तक यूं ही छोड़ दिया गया, जिससे सड़क के कुछ हिस्से अनौपचारिक डंपिंग स्पॉट बन गए। इससे राहगीरों और छात्रों को और कचरा फेंकने के लिए बढ़ावा मिला, जिससे बदसूरती और असुविधा पैदा हो गई। कूड़ा फेंकने पर जुर्माना लगने के बावजूद, संबोधित नहीं किए गए मलबे के कारण समस्या बनी हुई है। MCC ने निवासियों को आश्वासन दिया है कि जमा हुए कचरे को तुरंत साफ कर दिया जाएगा।
