US Suspends Green Card Program For Top Indian IT Firms

The US Department of Labor has temporarily suspended the PERM (Program Electronic Review Management) employment-based Green Card program for major Indian IT companies including TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant. Eight other companies, such as Wipro, HCL, Microsoft, and Adobe, are also affected. This action halts the Green Card application process for foreign employees of these firms. The suspension is reportedly due to alleged non-compliance with US workplace regulations, hiring practices, and local employee rights.
