On the eighth day of Sharadiya Navratri, devotees worship Maa Durga's eighth form, Maa Mahagauri. According to Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Ji, Maa Mahagauri's form is extremely divine and auspicious, earning her the title of 'Chir Saubhagya Vati'. Devotees offer her 16 adornments, particularly red attire and vermilion. Fragrances like khus, jasmine, sandalwood, and attar, along with musk and amber, are offered as bhog. Kheer made with saffron, halwa, and mawa laddus are also her favorites. Worshipping her with red hibiscus flowers and performing havan with ghee holds special significance.

शरदीय नवरात्रि के आठवें दिन, भक्त माँ दुर्गा के आठवें रूप, माँ महागौरी की पूजा करते हैं। आचार्य महामंडलेश्वर कैलाशानंद जी के अनुसार, माँ महागौरी का रूप अत्यंत दिव्य और शुभ होता है, जिसके कारण उन्हें 'चिर सौभाग्यवती' की उपाधि प्राप्त है। भक्त उन्हें 16 श्रृंगार, विशेष रूप से लाल वस्त्र और सिंदूर अर्पित करते हैं। भोग के रूप में खस, चमेली, चंदन और इत्र जैसी सुगंध, साथ ही कस्तूरी और एम्बर भी अर्पित किए जाते हैं। केसर से बनी खीर, हलवा और मावा के लड्डू भी उनके पसंदीदा हैं। लाल गुड़हल के फूलों से उनकी पूजा करना और घी से हवन करना विशेष महत्व रखता है।
