Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has lost 8.2 kg since beginning his indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, with his blood glucose dropping to 67 mg/dL. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) reported his condition on Monday, July 13, 2026. Wangchuk is protesting for the protection of Ladakh's fragile ecosystem and its indigenous people. The activist's health is deteriorating, raising concerns about lives at stake.

क्लाइमेट एक्टिविस्ट सोनम वांगचुक ने जंतर मंतर पर अनिश्चितकालीन भूख हड़ताल शुरू करने के बाद से 8.2 किलो वजन कम कर लिया है। उनका ब्लड ग्लूकोज 67 mg/dL तक गिर गया है। CJP ने सोमवार, 13 जुलाई 2026 को उनकी हालत की जानकारी दी। वांगचुक लद्दाख के नाजुक इकोसिस्टम और वहां के मूल निवासियों की सुरक्षा के लिए विरोध कर रहे हैं। एक्टिविस्ट की सेहत बिगड़ रही है, जिससे जान का खतरा बढ़ गया है।
