Clouds Part For Spectacular Lunar Eclipse Viewing

Skywatchers in the DC area were concerned about cloud cover potentially obscuring the nearly total lunar eclipse. Fortunately, the clouds broke up just in time for the event. Patient observers were rewarded with a clear view of the celestial phenomenon. This allowed many to witness the rare and beautiful sight of the moon during the eclipse.
