Kerala to Ease Curbs for Private Universities with New Bill

Kerala is set to introduce a new bill to create a more liberal framework for private universities. The draft proposes greater operational and academic freedom, exemption from land-ceiling restrictions for up to 100 acres, and a waiver of stamp duty and registration fees for the first 10 years. This initiative aims to ease conditions for educational institutions and investors, potentially boosting higher education capacity in the state. The bill also includes provisions for a Kerala Knowledge Valley and a single-window clearance board to streamline approvals.

केरल में निजी विश्वविद्यालयों के लिए नए बिल से सुविधायें बढ़ेंगी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों को मिलेगी अधिक स्वतंत्रता

केरल निजी विश्वविद्यालयों के लिए एक अधिक उदार ढांचा बनाने के लिए एक नया बिल पेश करने जा रहा है। मसौदे में अधिक परिचालन और शैक्षणिक स्वतंत्रता, 100 एकड़ तक भूमि-सीमा प्रतिबंधों से छूट, और पहले 10 वर्षों के लिए स्टाम्प शुल्क और पंजीकरण शुल्क की माफी का प्रस्ताव है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और निवेशकों के लिए शर्तों को आसान बनाना है, जिससे राज्य में उच्च शिक्षा की क्षमता को बढ़ावा मिल सके। बिल में केरल नॉलेज वैली और स्वीकृतियों को सुव्यवस्थित करने के लिए एक सिंगल-विंडो क्लीयरेंस बोर्ड के लिए भी प्रावधान शामिल हैं।
