Social media platform X has suspended over 13,000 accounts suspected of being involved in foreign influence operations from Iran, Russia, and China. These networks allegedly aimed to shape political discourse in the United States ahead of the November midterm elections. X stated that fake accounts were used to amplify political content targeting candidates and public figures across the political spectrum. The company is also enforcing rules against misleading voting information and voter intimidation to ensure election integrity.
