Commuters were left stranded, and emergency vehicles faced significant challenges navigating the chaos. The bandh was called to protest the killing of drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhotta and demand justice. Markets across Mohali saw widespread closures, with shopkeepers forced to shut down their establishments. While ambulances were eventually allowed to pass in some instances, the overall disruption halted daily activities for many.

गुरुवार को पंजाब बंद के कारण मोहाली में जनजीवन ठप हो गया। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने मुख्य सड़कों और चौराहों को ब्लॉक कर दिया। आम लोग फंसे रह गए और आपातकालीन वाहनों को भी इस हंगामे से निकलने में काफी मुश्किल हुई। यह बंद ड्रग एक्टिविस्ट परविंदर सिंह झोटा की हत्या के विरोध और न्याय की मांग को लेकर बुलाया गया था। मोहाली के बाज़ारों में बड़े पैमाने पर दुकानें बंद रहीं और दुकानदारों को अपना सामान बंद करने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा। हालांकि कुछ मामलों में एंबुलेंस को बाद में जाने दिया गया, लेकिन कुल मिलाकर इस हंगामे ने कई लोगों की रोज़मर्रा की गतिविधियों को रोक दिया।
