Bengaluru Engineer Extorted After Accident, Alleges Manhandling

A 25-year-old mechanical engineer in Bengaluru has alleged he was extorted of Rs 6,000 after a road accident near Hebbal flyover. The engineer, Aswin M Puthumana, claims two men, posing as brothers of the electric scooter rider who hit his bike, threatened and manhandled him. Despite Aswin sustaining a fractured arm, the men allegedly pressed his injured limb while demanding money. A delivery boy witnessed the incident and advised Aswin to pay. He transferred Rs 5,900 digitally, followed by another Rs 100 under duress, before the men fled.

बेंगलुरु में 25 साल के एक मैकेनिकल इंजीनियर ने आरोप लगाया है कि हेब्बल फ्लाईओवर के पास सड़क दुर्घटना के बाद उससे 6,000 रुपये की वसूली की गई। इंजीनियर, अश्विन एम पुथुमाना, का दावा है कि दो लोगों ने, जिन्होंने इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर सवार की बहनें होने का दिखावा किया, जिसने उसकी बाइक को टक्कर मारी थी, उसे धमकी दी और उसके साथ मारपीट की। अश्विन की बांह टूटने के बावजूद, कथित तौर पर लोगों ने पैसे की मांग करते हुए उसके चोटिल अंग को दबाया। एक डिलीवरी बॉय ने घटना देखी और अश्विन को भुगतान करने की सलाह दी। उसने पुरुषों के भागने से पहले डिजिटल रूप से 5,900 रुपये ट्रांसफर किए, और फिर दबाव में 100 रुपये और दिए।
