धमकी और मानहानि के मामले में जेल में बंद उर्मिला सनावत को हरिद्वार की एक अतिरिक्त मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत ने जमानत दे दी है। 25 अक्टूबर को दर्ज इस मामले में सोशल मीडिया पर आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी, धमकी और 5 करोड़ रुपये व संपत्ति हस्तांतरण की मांग के आरोप शामिल हैं। अभियोजन ने आपराधिक इतिहास और आरोपों की गंभीरता का हवाला देते हुए जमानत का विरोध किया, जबकि बचाव पक्ष ने राजनीतिक प्रतिद्वंद्विता के कारण झूठे फंसाए जाने का तर्क दिया।
