Delhi Police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita across the New Delhi district, banning public gatherings of five or more people without permission. This action precedes a planned protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, organized by groups including the All India Students’ Association. The protest aims to raise concerns about electoral rolls and the Special Intensive Revision exercise. Security has been heightened with significant police and paramilitary deployment in sensitive areas.

जंतर मंतर पर प्रदर्शन से पहले दिल्ली पुलिस ने लगाई धारा 163 चुनाव आयोग के खिलाफ होगा विरोध प्रदर्शन

नई दिल्ली जिले में दिल्ली पुलिस ने भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता की धारा 163 के तहत निषेधाज्ञा लागू कर दी है। इसके तहत बिना इजाजत 5 या उससे ज़्यादा लोगों के इकट्ठा होने पर रोक लगा दी गई है। यह कदम जंतर मंतर पर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के खिलाफ होने वाले एक नियोजित विरोध प्रदर्शन से पहले उठाया गया है। इस विरोध का आयोजन ऑल इंडिया स्टूडेंट्स’ एसोसिएशन जैसे समूहों ने किया है। प्रदर्शन का मकसद चुनावी नामावली और स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन एक्सरसाइज को लेकर चिंताएं जताना है। संवेदनशील इलाकों में भारी पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बलों की तैनाती के साथ सुरक्षा कड़ी कर दी गई है।
