Aditya Birla Group's renewable energy arm, ABRen, will acquire Shell-backed Sprng Energy for $1.8 billion. This deal adds nearly 5 GWp of contracted renewable energy capacity, including 3.3 GWp operational and 1.7 GWp under construction. ABRen's total portfolio will grow to approximately 9.3 GWp. आदित्य बिड़ला ग्रुप की रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी कंपनी ABRen, शेल-समर्थित Sprng Energy को 1.8 अरब डॉलर में खरीदेगी। इस डील से कंपनी को लगभग 5 GWp की कॉन्ट्रैक्टेड रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी क्षमता मिलेगी, जिसमें 3.3 GWp चालू और 1.7 GWp निर्माणाधीन है। इससे ABRen का कुल पोर्टफोलियो बढ़कर करीब 9.3 GWp हो जाएगा। यह भारत के रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी सेक्टर के लिए एक बड़ा कदम है।
