WhatsApp Android Feature: Navigation Bar Shrinks on Scroll

Aaj Tak · technology

WhatsApp is developing a new feature for Android users that will allow the bottom navigation bar to dynamically shrink and expand. As users scroll down the chat list, the bar will become a compact floating pill, offering more screen space for reading messages. Scrolling back up will restore the navigation bar to its original size. This change aims to declutter the app's interface and improve the user experience, especially for those with long chat lists. The feature is currently in the development stage and not yet available for beta testing.

WhatsApp Android
