Searchers have discovered a "debris field" off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts, following the disappearance of a Gulfstream G100 air ambulance. The jet was en route from Bermuda to Boston with four Canadians and two Bermudian nationals aboard when it lost contact with air traffic controllers on Saturday. The US Coast Guard confirmed the next of kin were notified and continued search operations overnight. Air traffic control audio suggested the aircraft may have been experiencing difficulties before it vanished. The plane was operating a medical evacuation mission.
