IISc Bengaluru Ranks India's Top University in THE World Rankings 2027

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru has secured the top position among Indian institutions in the THE World University Rankings 2027, placing 254th globally. Several other Indian universities also made it to the rankings, including Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Shoolini University, Jamia Millia Islamia, KIIT, and LPU. These institutions were placed in various bands, with LPU, Jamia Millia Islamia, and KIIT in the 510-550 band. The rankings evaluate universities based on teaching, research, industry linkage, and international outlook.
