BJP Bengal Poll Spend Exceeds Congress Five-State Outlay

The BJP spent Rs 286.99 crore on the West Bengal elections alone, surpassing the Congress's total expenditure of Rs 248.55 crore across five states and a Union territory. West Bengal accounted for over half of the BJP's Rs 529.38 crore total spending. The Congress spent Rs 42.08 crore in Bengal, while the CPI(M) reported Rs 8.23 crore. In Kerala, Congress spent Rs 105.34 crore, exceeding the BJP's Rs 82.67 crore expenditure.
