Father Kills Son Over Rs 900 Theft Suspicion

A 45-year-old man allegedly beat his 15-year-old son to death in Kanpur's Purvi Somvanshi village on Monday night over suspected theft of Rs 900. The accused, Ummed Singh, was arrested and stated he assaulted his son in a fit of rage. The victim's sister alleged her father tied up the boy and beat him with a stick for about half an hour. Police sent the body for postmortem and collected evidence from the scene.
