Gurgaon Civic Body Warns Officials Against Laxity As GRAP Curbs Set to Begin
Times of India · environment
MCG has directed officials to begin enforcing Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) curbs as the pollution season approaches. Officials are warned against laxity in controlling open waste burning, illegal dumping, and dust pollution. The plan includes strict enforcement of biomass burning bans, vigilance at landfills, and tighter scrutiny of construction sites. As air quality deteriorates, measures will escalate to include mechanised sweeping, water sprinkling, and increased use of anti-smog guns. Dedicated teams have also been deployed for night-time inspections to address open waste burning complaints.
