SP Workers Stopped at UP Gate, Sparking Protest and NH-9 Traffic Jams

Around 50 Samajwadi Party workers heading to a Delhi rally were stopped at UP Gate on Sunday morning, causing a brief protest and traffic disruption on NH-9. Police erected barricades to prevent their entry into the capital, leading the workers to stage a dharna for over 15 minutes. Senior officers intervened, counted the group, and allowed them to proceed, after which traffic returned to normal. SP leaders claimed they were being silenced, while police cited pollution-related vehicle restrictions as the reason for the checks.

रविवार सुबह दिल्ली में एक रैली में जा रहे करीब 50 समाजवादी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं को यूपी गेट पर रोक दिया गया, जिससे थोड़ी देर के लिए विरोध प्रदर्शन हुआ और NH-9 पर यातायात बाधित हुआ। पुलिस ने उन्हें राजधानी में प्रवेश करने से रोकने के लिए बैरिकेड्स लगा दिए थे, जिसके बाद कार्यकर्ताओं ने 15 मिनट से अधिक समय तक धरना दिया। वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने हस्तक्षेप किया, समूह की गिनती की और उन्हें आगे बढ़ने की अनुमति दी, जिसके बाद यातायात सामान्य हो गया। सपा नेताओं ने दावा किया कि उन्हें चुप कराया जा रहा है, जबकि पुलिस ने प्रतिबंधों के कारण जांच का हवाला दिया।
