Hardeep Puri Set to Win Rajya Sabha Bypoll Unopposed After Rivals' Nominations Rejected

Union minister Hardeep Puri is poised to win the Rajya Sabha bypoll from Madhya Pradesh unopposed. The nominations of two Congress-backed candidates, Rajkumar Lohani and Kante Sayanna, were rejected by the returning officer. Objections were also raised against Puri's nomination by independent candidates and Congress leader Hemant Katare, who claimed his affidavit was invalid. However, the returning officer found no defects in Puri's papers, stating he had not violated the Representation of the People Act.
