Times of India · india
The Delhi Waqf Board has requested protection for a nearly 300-year-old mosque after its electricity and water connections were allegedly disconnected during a demolition drive. The board's CEO stated in a letter that the mosque and adjoining graveyard are notified waqf properties. Despite having a lawful electricity connection since 1976 and being on NDMC's heritage list, the utilities were snapped without prior notice. The board seeks urgent intervention to examine the matter and restore the supplies.
