N Chandrasekaran has reportedly been approved for a fresh five-year term as executive chairman of Tata Sons, reversing his earlier decision not to seek reappointment. The board's decision comes after a meeting where a reported split existed regarding public listing and the chairman's tenure. Chandrasekaran's current term concludes in February.
