Faridabad Implements PUC Certificate Rule, No Fuel Without Pollution Check

Faridabad is intensifying efforts to combat rising pollution levels in the Delhi-NCR region. The RTA department has suspended licenses of 16 pollution check centers due to irregularities found in their operations. Authorities are also cracking down on older, polluting vehicles, with around 500 vehicles of BS-1, BS-2, and BS-3 categories impounded in the last month. A new rule mandates that vehicles without a valid PUC certificate will not be provided with petrol or diesel, and will also face challans.

दिल्ली-एनसीआर क्षेत्र में बढ़ते प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए फरीदाबाद में कोशिशें तेज हो गई हैं। आरटीए विभाग ने 16 प्रदूषण जांच केंद्रों के लाइसेंस रद्द कर दिए हैं क्योंकि उनमें अनियमितताएं पाई गई थीं। अधिकारी पुराने, प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले वाहनों पर भी कार्रवाई कर रहे हैं, पिछले महीने बीएस-1, बीएस-2 और बीएस-3 श्रेणी के करीब 500 वाहनों को जब्त किया गया है। एक नया नियम लागू किया गया है जिसके तहत वैध पीयूसी सर्टिफिकेट के बिना वाहनों को पेट्रोल या डीजल नहीं दिया जाएगा, और उनका चालान भी काटा जाएगा।
