Dhruv Patel's Maiden Century Gives Baroda Edge Against Uttar Pradesh

Hindustan Times · sports

Dhruv Patel's maiden first-class century anchored Baroda's innings against Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match. Despite early setbacks and UP's initial bowling pressure, Baroda reached 269/6 on Monday, largely due to Patel's 124 and crucial partnerships. Four dropped catches by Uttar Pradesh proved costly, allowing Baroda to rebuild and accelerate their scoring. Both teams needed a win to strengthen their knockout prospects, with Baroda currently sitting second in the group.
