This decision comes just one week after the plan was introduced, following widespread objections from industrial stakeholders across the region. The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the rollback, highlighting its importance for meeting production demands during the upcoming Diwali festival season. The withdrawal is expected to enable factories to operate at full capacity, ensuring timely production and market supplies.

गुजरात सरकार ने हाल ही में लागू की गई आठ घंटे की साप्ताहिक बिजली कटौती को उद्योगों के लिए वापस ले लिया है। अब हर हफ्ते तय दिन पर बिजली कटौती की ज़रूरत नहीं होगी। यह फैसला योजना शुरू होने के महज़ एक हफ़्ते बाद आया है, क्योंकि पूरे क्षेत्र के औद्योगिक हितधारकों ने इस पर कड़ी आपत्ति जताई थी। सदर्न गुजरात चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री ने इस फैसले का स्वागत किया है और कहा है कि दिवाली के त्योहारी सीज़न में उत्पादन की ज़रूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए यह बहुत ज़रूरी है। इस फैसले से उम्मीद है कि कारखाने पूरी क्षमता से काम कर पाएंगे, जिससे समय पर उत्पादन और बाज़ार में सप्लाई सुनिश्चित होगी।
