Congress Demands Varanasi Election Result Probe

Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai has demanded a probe into the 2024 Lok Sabha election results in Varanasi. Rai cited a report alleging that two election commissioners had recorded 14 written objections to the poll panel's decisions over the past 10 months. He claimed this indicated differences within the Election Commission and vindicated concerns over its functioning. Rai alleged the chief election commissioner sidelined others and took decisions under government pressure.

वाराणसी में 2024 लोकसभा चुनाव नतीजों की जांच की मांग करते हुए उत्तर प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष अजय राय ने कहा कि चुनाव आयोग के दो आयुक्तों ने पिछले 10 महीनों में आयोग के फैसलों पर 14 लिखित आपत्तियां दर्ज की थीं। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे चुनाव आयोग के भीतर मतभेद और उसकी कार्यप्रणाली पर चिंताएं जाहिर होती हैं। राय ने आरोप लगाया कि मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ने दूसरों को दरकिनार कर सरकारी दबाव में फैसले लिए।
