HC Protects Remarried Couple From Family Interference

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has ruled that no one can interfere with the peaceful marital life of a couple who have remarried each other after obtaining a divorce. The court was hearing a protection petition filed by a couple apprehensive of interference from the woman's father. The petitioners, who have two children, had previously divorced due to trivial disputes but decided to reunite for their family's sake. They remarried on April 2, but the father of one petitioner objected.
