India and the European Union have successfully concluded negotiations for India's association with Horizon Europe, the EU's €93.5-billion research and innovation programme. This significant step strengthens scientific cooperation and deepens the bilateral strategic partnership between the two entities. The association, expected to commence in January 2027, will allow Indian researchers and organisations to directly access funding and lead collaborative projects. This collaboration aims to foster joint development of technologies and address shared global challenges in areas like health, digital, and climate.

भारत और यूरोपीय संघ ने हॉराइजन यूरोप, ईयू के €93.5-अरब के रिसर्च और इनोवेशन प्रोग्राम के साथ भारत के जुड़ाव के लिए बातचीत सफलतापूर्वक पूरी कर ली है। यह महत्वपूर्ण कदम वैज्ञानिक सहयोग को मजबूत करता है और दोनों संस्थाओं के बीच द्विपक्षीय रणनीतिक साझेदारी को गहरा करता है। जनवरी 2027 में शुरू होने की उम्मीद वाले इस जुड़ाव से भारतीय शोधकर्ताओं और संगठनों को सीधे फंडिंग तक पहुंचने और सहयोगात्मक परियोजनाओं का नेतृत्व करने की अनुमति मिलेगी। इस सहयोग का उद्देश्य स्वास्थ्य, डिजिटल और जलवायु जैसे क्षेत्रों में साझा वैश्विक चुनौतियों का समाधान करना और प्रौद्योगिकियों के संयुक्त विकास को बढ़ावा देना है।
