BCCI president Mithun Manhas stated that the selection of senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the 2027 ODI World Cup should be based on their fitness and performance, not their age. He emphasized that players who are fit and continue to win games for the country should be the primary criteria. Manhas also highlighted the importance of their experience in guiding younger players like Shubman Gill, who is expected to lead the team.
