US Launches Secret Strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island Amid Netanyahu Push

Times of India · world

The United States has reportedly conducted secret, limited military strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. These operations were deliberately kept small-scale to avoid signalling an intention to resume broader military campaigns against Iran. The strikes occurred amid renewed tensions over US negotiations with Tehran and following reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged US President Donald Trump to consider fresh military action after US midterm elections. Trump, however, cast doubt on resuming strikes, indicating a diplomatic agreement remained possible.
