The Dibrugarh Cancer Centre has treated 14,028 patients since April 2022, indicating a steady rise in cancer cases in Assam. Managing Director Dr. Nabyajyoti Choudhury reported increasing patient numbers annually, with 3,730 treated in 2025-26 and 2,651 up to this year. The centre also noted a growing cancer burden in Arunachal Pradesh, though Nagaland's situation has stabilised. Dr. Choudhury stressed the need for early detection, timely treatment, and enhanced cancer-care infrastructure to address this significant healthcare challenge in the region.

डिब्रूगढ़ कैंसर सेंटर ने अप्रैल 2022 से 14,028 मरीजों का इलाज किया है, जो असम में कैंसर के मामलों में लगातार वृद्धि का संकेत देता है। प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. नब्यज्योति चौधरी ने सालाना मरीजों की संख्या में वृद्धि की सूचना दी, जिसमें 2025-26 में 3,730 और इस साल अब तक 2,651 मरीजों का इलाज किया गया। केंद्र ने अरुणाचल प्रदेश में कैंसर के बढ़ते बोझ को भी नोट किया, हालांकि नागालैंड की स्थिति स्थिर हो गई है। डॉ. चौधरी ने इस क्षेत्र में इस महत्वपूर्ण स्वास्थ्य चुनौती से निपटने के लिए शीघ्र पता लगाने, समय पर उपचार और कैंसर-देखभाल के बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।
