Allahabad HC Denies Bail To Four Cops In 2021 Jaunpur Custodial Death Case

The Allahabad High Court has rejected the bail applications of four Uttar Pradesh police personnel accused in the 2021 Jaunpur custodial death case. Justice Samit Gopal cited CBI chargesheet allegations that the accused cops inflicted grievous injuries on Krishna Kumar Yadav, 24, to extract a confession, leading to his death. The CBI alleged that false records were created to conceal the torture. The court denied bail to Jaysheel Tiwari, Ramkrit Yadav, Raj Kumar Verma, and Angad Prasad Chaudhary, who were among eleven police personnel charge-sheeted for murder and conspiracy.

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने 2021 के जौनपुर हिरासत में मौत के मामले में फंसे उत्तर प्रदेश के चार पुलिसकर्मियों की जमानत अर्जी खारिज कर दी है। जस्टिस समित गोपाल ने सीबीआई की चार्जशीट के आरोपों का हवाला दिया, जिसमें कहा गया है कि आरोपी पुलिसकर्मियों ने कबूलनामा निकलवाने के लिए 24 वर्षीय कृष्ण कुमार यादव को गंभीर चोटें पहुंचाईं, जिससे उनकी मौत हो गई। सीबीआई ने आरोप लगाया कि यातना को छिपाने के लिए झूठे रिकॉर्ड बनाए गए थे। कोर्ट ने जयशील तिवारी, रामकृत यादव, राज कुमार वर्मा और अंगद प्रसाद चौधरी की जमानत खारिज कर दी, जो हत्या और साजिश के आरोप में चार्जशीट किए गए ग्यारह पुलिसकर्मियों में से थे।
