An 83-year-old farmer faced a significant delay in accessing his late wife's Rs 62,541 savings account after both she and their nominee son passed away. The consumer commission ordered the bank to pay Rs 15,000 compensation for the financial hardship and mental agony caused by its overly technical and inaccessible approach.
