सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गौहाटी हाई कोर्ट के विदेशियों से जुड़े 27 फैसलों को रद्द कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने कहा है कि इन मामलों को ट्रिब्यूनल फिर से देखेगा। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने जोर दिया कि नागरिकता के फैसले तब तक मान्य नहीं होंगे जब तक प्रक्रिया ठीक से न हो, एकतरफा न हो या उसमें दिमाग का इस्तेमाल न हो। इससे नागरिकता दावों की जांच निष्पक्ष होगी।
