BJP Leader Asks Mumbai Police to Detain, Deport Actor Imran Khan

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has written to the Mumbai Police, urging them to detain and deport actor Imran Khan, whom he alleges is a foreign citizen. Somaiya questioned Khan's right to participate in protests, citing potential violations of OCI provisions and visa conditions. The actor was detained on October 10 from August Kranti Maidan while supporting a protest. Khan stated he was present as a citizen to understand restrictions on freedom of movement and suppression of voices. Over 400 people were detained at the protest, which lacked police permission.

बीजेपी नेता किरीट सोमैया ने मुंबई पुलिस को पत्र लिखकर अभिनेता इमरान खान को हिरासत में लेने और निर्वासित करने का आग्रह किया है, जिनका आरोप है कि वह एक विदेशी नागरिक हैं। सोमैया ने ओसीआई प्रावधानों और वीजा शर्तों के संभावित उल्लंघनों का हवाला देते हुए विरोध प्रदर्शनों में भाग लेने के खान के अधिकार पर सवाल उठाया। अभिनेता को 10 अक्टूबर को अगस्त क्रांति मैदान से एक विरोध प्रदर्शन का समर्थन करते हुए हिरासत में लिया गया था। खान ने कहा कि वह नागरिक के तौर पर आवाजाही की स्वतंत्रता पर प्रतिबंधों और आवाजों के दमन को समझने के लिए मौजूद थे।
