IIT Bombay Hostels Shut By Food Regulator

Two IIT Bombay hostel canteens, Mess No. 1 and Mess No. 3, have been shut down by the food regulator. The action was taken following an inspection of the mess facilities at the Powai campus. It was found that the operators of these canteens were operating without the necessary permissions and registrations. This closure highlights the importance of regulatory compliance in institutional food services.

आईआईटी बॉम्बे के दो हॉस्टल कैंटीन, मेस नंबर 1 और मेस नंबर 3 को फूड रेगुलेटर ने बंद कर दिया है। यह कार्रवाई पवई कैंपस में मेस सुविधाओं के निरीक्षण के बाद हुई। पता चला कि इन कैंटीन के संचालक ज़रूरी परमिशन और रजिस्ट्रेशन के बिना काम कर रहे थे। इससे पता चलता है कि संस्थागत खान-पान सेवाओं में नियमों का पालन कितना ज़रूरी है।
