AP High Court Disposes Three Capitals Pleas

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has disposed of petitions challenging the previous government's proposal for three capitals, as they have become infructuous. This follows Parliament's amendment recognizing Amaravati as the sole state capital. A bench also requested details of other pending infructuous petitions. The court deferred hearing on remaining petitions, noting appeals against its Amaravati judgment are listed before the Supreme Court. Farmers had challenged acts proposing three capitals, and the court had previously mandated Amaravati's development.

आंध्र प्रदेश हाई कोर्ट ने तीन राजधानियों के प्रस्ताव को चुनौती देने वाली याचिकाएं खारिज कर दी हैं। अब सिर्फ़ अमरावती ही राज्य की राजधानी होगी, यह संसद के संशोधन के बाद तय हुआ है। कोर्ट ने बाकी ऐसी ही याचिकाओं का भी ब्यौरा मांगा है। अमरावती मामले पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट में सुनवाई चल रही है, इसलिए बाकी याचिकाओं पर अगली सुनवाई होगी। किसानों ने तीन राजधानियों वाले एक्ट को चुनौती दी थी।
