Thousands of IT professionals in Pune are frustrated by the continued delay in launching the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro line, which has been ready for months. The launch was initially hoped for with PM Narendra Modi's visit, but it has been deferred, leaving the service in limbo. Commuters face worsening traffic, potholes, and narrow underpasses daily. One employee, Anita Jangid, even bought a car after waiting eight to nine months for the Metro to begin operations.
