Ola Electric Ordered to Repair Scooter or Refund ₹86k

A consumer commission has directed Ola Electric and its service center to repair a defective scooter within 30 days or refund the buyer ₹85,999 with 6% annual interest. The scooter, purchased on July 28, 2024, began emitting abnormal noise from its hub motor on October 1, 2025. Despite being taken to the service center, it remained unrepaired for over two months. The commission found Ola deficient in service for failing to resolve the issue and also ordered them to pay ₹25,000 for mental agony and litigation expenses.
