US President Donald Trump has again asserted that he prevented a military conflict between India and Pakistan by threatening both nations with substantial tariffs. Speaking at a rally in Florida, Trump stated he warned them that trade with the US would cease if hostilities continued. India, however, has consistently refuted these claims, maintaining that the de-escalation was a direct understanding between the Directors General of Military Operations on May 10, 2025. India also stated no trade discussions occurred with the US during the conflict.
