A poster war has erupted between the BJP and the SP in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the 2027 assembly elections. The SP placed posters stating 'Krishna will come in '27', implying Akhilesh Yadav's return to power. The BJP retaliated with posters reading 'He who brought Ram, will bring him in '27'. This political battle was reportedly sparked by a statement from Bageshwar Dham's Dhirendra Krishna Shastri comparing Ram and Krishna.
