Puducherry CM Launches Free Diwali Grocery Kits For 3.5 Lakh Families

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy has launched the distribution of free Diwali grocery kits, each valued at Rs 700, to eligible family ration cardholders. This initiative aims to support 3.5 lakh families across the Union Territory, excluding government employees and honorary cardholders. Each festive hamper contains five essential items, including sugar, sunflower oil, chana dal, rava, and maida. The government procured these essential commodity hampers through Confed, aiming to provide festive support to a significant portion of the population.

पुडुचेरी के मुख्यमंत्री एन. रंगसामी ने योग्य परिवार राशन कार्डधारकों को 700 रुपये मूल्य की मुफ्त दिवाली किराना किट का वितरण शुरू किया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में 3.5 लाख परिवारों को सहायता प्रदान करना है, जिसमें सरकारी कर्मचारी और मानद कार्डधारक शामिल नहीं हैं। प्रत्येक त्योहारी हैम्पर में चीनी, सूरजमुखी तेल, चना दाल, रवा और मैदा सहित पांच आवश्यक वस्तुएं हैं। सरकार ने कॉन्फेड के माध्यम से इन आवश्यक वस्तु हैम्परों की खरीद की है, जिसका लक्ष्य आबादी के एक बड़े हिस्से को त्योहारी सहायता प्रदान करना है।
