Bengal to Simplify Land Plot Categories Under New Record System

West Bengal is set to introduce a new system to simplify land plot categories, segregating existing classifications into 16 heads and adding a 'Supra Category' column in the Record of Rights. This initiative aims to standardize land classification and improve accessibility within the state's digitized land records system. The changes, proposed by the Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, will not alter a plot's legal status, ownership, or land-use rights.

पश्चिम बंगाल भूमि भूखंड श्रेणियों को सरल बनाने के लिए एक नई प्रणाली शुरू करने जा रहा है, मौजूदा वर्गीकरण को 16 शीर्षों में अलग करेगा और 'रिकॉर्ड ऑफ राइट्स' में 'सुप्रा कैटेगरी' कॉलम जोड़ेगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य भूमि वर्गीकरण को मानकीकृत करना और राज्य की डिजीटल भूमि रिकॉर्ड प्रणाली के भीतर पहुंच में सुधार करना है। भूमि अभिलेख और सर्वेक्षण निदेशालय द्वारा प्रस्तावित इन परिवर्तनों से किसी भूखंड की कानूनी स्थिति, स्वामित्व या भूमि-उपयोग अधिकारों में कोई बदलाव नहीं होगा।
