केरल के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के. मुरलीधरन ने विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में 10-बिस्तर वाले आइसोलेशन वार्ड बनाने के राज्य के ₹250 करोड़ के प्रोजेक्ट की जांच की घोषणा की। भविष्य की महामारियों से निपटने के लिए जुलाई 2021 में स्वीकृत इस प्रोजेक्ट की खराब निर्माण गुणवत्ता और आवश्यक सुविधाओं की कमी के लिए आलोचना की गई है। 33 पूरे हो चुके वार्डों में से, गंभीर खामियों के कारण कोई भी मरीज की देखभाल के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं है। जांच का नेतृत्व प्रधान सचिव (स्वास्थ्य) करेंगे ताकि महत्वपूर्ण खर्च और प्रोजेक्ट कार्यान्वयन की खामियों का आकलन किया जा सके।
