Bihar: 1.66 Lakh Aadhaar Cards Blocked Over Fake Documents

UIDAI has blocked 1.66 lakh Aadhaar numbers in Bihar over the past three months due to discrepancies in submitted documents for date of birth changes. Previously, only the correction application was rejected, but now the original Aadhaar number is being blocked if submitted documents are found to be fake or incorrect. This action has caused panic among those whose Aadhaar has become inactive, as it impacts access to government schemes, banking, and other essential services.

पिछले तीन महीनों में UIDAI ने बिहार में 1.66 लाख आधार नंबरों को ब्लॉक कर दिया है। ऐसा जन्मतिथि बदलने के लिए जमा किए गए दस्तावेजों में गड़बड़ी के कारण हुआ है। पहले सिर्फ सुधार के लिए आवेदन खारिज होता था, लेकिन अब अगर जमा किए गए दस्तावेज नकली या गलत पाए जाते हैं, तो मूल आधार नंबर को ही ब्लॉक कर दिया जा रहा है। इस कार्रवाई से उन लोगों में घबराहट फैल गई है जिनके आधार निष्क्रिय हो गए हैं, क्योंकि इससे सरकारी योजनाओं, बैंकिंग और अन्य ज़रूरी सेवाओं तक पहुँच प्रभावित होती है।
