Odisha Releases Rs 14.34 Crore For Free Education

Odisha has released the second instalment of Rs 14.34 crore for its KG to PG Free Education scheme for the 2026-27 academic session. This release, representing 15% of the approved assistance, brings the total disbursed funds to Rs 23.90 crore. The scheme, named 'Gyanodaya- Shiksha Ru Samruddhi', aims to benefit over 32 lakh students annually by waiving admission fees for regular UG and PG programmes in government and government-aided institutions. This initiative seeks to remove financial barriers and improve access to higher education for eligible students across the state.

ओडिशा सरकार ने 2026-27 के लिए 'ज्ञानोदय - शिक्षा रु समृद्धि' योजना के तहत KG से PG तक मुफ्त शिक्षा के लिए 14.34 करोड़ रुपये की दूसरी किस्त जारी की है। यह कुल स्वीकृत सहायता का 15% है, जिससे अब तक 23.90 करोड़ रुपये बांटे जा चुके हैं। इस योजना से हर साल 32 लाख से ज़्यादा छात्रों को फायदा होगा, जिनके दाखिला शुल्क सरकार भरेगी।
