EU Releases €6.6 Billion For Ukraine Arms Aid

The European Union has agreed to release €6.6 billion from a fund dedicated to reimbursing member states that have supplied arms to Ukraine. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced the decision on Friday. This financial support comes as at least five people were reported killed in Russian strikes on Kyiv earlier the same day, according to local authorities. The funding aims to bolster continued military assistance to Ukraine.

यूरोपीय संघ ने यूक्रेन को हथियार सप्लाई करने वाले सदस्य देशों को पैसे वापस देने के लिए 6.6 अरब यूरो जारी करने पर सहमति जताई है। EU के विदेश नीति प्रमुख Kaja Kallas ने शुक्रवार को यह ऐलान किया। यह आर्थिक मदद ऐसे समय आई है जब उसी दिन रूस ने Kyiv पर हमला किया, जिसमें स्थानीय अधिकारियों के अनुसार कम से कम पांच लोगों की मौत हो गई। इस फंड का मकसद यूक्रेन को लगातार सैन्य सहायता देना है।
